Aside from being a fantastic story teller, John and his colleagues are incredible hosts. I booked Althia Tours for our transfer from Nadi airport to Denarau simply because it was the cheapest quote. But we were honestly blown away by the service we received.
We were welcomed like old friends by the team, as soon as we got through customs. They presented our whole family with beautiful hand made necklaces, bottled water and a tray of fresh facecloths. They had two cars waiting for us as they knew we had a buggy as well as our suitcases (they do have a larger vehicle but it was booked at that time so they gave us 2 for the same price). They had prefitted good children's car seats for us (free of charge) and they loaded the car and held our doors open for us. On the way to our resort they offered to stop at the supermarket in case we needed supplies. We didn't need to but it was a thoughtful offer.
On our return journey a week later we were collected on time (which was excellent considering John had been first on the scene to assist at road accident on his way to us) and once again we were treated like dear friends. John's wife even had a farewell gift for us!
We were lucky enough to hear more about the hard work and determination that lead John and his wife to set up Althia Tours and about the incredible amount they give to their community, particularly to homeless and orphaned children.
I urge anyone travelling through Nadi to use this company for your transfers or tours. Great price, outstanding service, but most importantly - the opportunity to meet a particularly special person."

After many years in the hospitality business John the owner/driver is working hard to establish his own small business. He's a genuinely lovely guy with a big heart who obviously cares deeply about his community and is happy to share his knowledge of Fijian culture, history and rugby. His cars are clean and well maintained and he drives safely. The booking process was easy with John's wife replying promptly to all enquiries.
We had cheaper quotes for some of our transfers but decided to support the little guy and we are glad we did.

I just wanted to take the time to let you know how impressed we all were with the wonderful service we had by both your drivers picking us up with the lovely gift ,water and cold facecloth as well as dropping us off. Your drivers made our whole trip great from the beginning to dropping us off at the end.
It's always hard when you are depending on other people to get somewhere but what a great service you provide . Had three transfers with John and his staff, all were on time, clean comfortable cars, good drivers and competitive prices. Water and face cloths upon arrival in Nadi was a nice touch. They happily stopped for us to get lunch and offered to stop by a supermarket as well. Would strongly recommend on service alone but knowing how much John is helping the local community and orphanage makes me recommend even more, he simply touched our family with his kind heart. I had a day in Nadi and wanted to see as much as I could. I booked a tour after reading other reviews here and I wasn't disappointed. Keasi picked me up at my hotel and as it was just the two of us, she was really accommodating in trying to give me the kind of experience I wanted. We went to the orchid garden and the hot pools but as I was flying out later that day I didn't go into the pools. She then drove me around the island to some of her favourite places, which I really enjoyed as we had time to have lunch, walk around, and just enjoy the views and scenery. But really the best memory for me is spending five hours with Keasi and getting to know her a bit, and through that learning more about the culture and lifestyle of Fiji. The strong family and community ties are very evident and it's one of the great things about Fiji that I admired when I was there. Keasi was very generous in sharing her stories and her experiences with me, and I feel lucky to have that experience.
